Circus Aurelius

At first, I thought that the Circus Aurelius was going to be very disorganized. After me and my group met and talked about what we were going to do, it became very organized and easy. Everyone had a certain topic to research, and then we established a Google document. Everyone in the group had access to the document, and everyone would add information about the topic they researched. It went by very fast because once everyone was done adding their information, they could add more information wherever it was needed. I feel that everyone contributed a lot to the project this way. Everyone was able to discuss and share ideas on the document. The final product was a well planned presentation that was done efficiently and easy.

Cyber Monday and Black Friday

People are always looking for deals. In my opinion, Cyber Monday and Black Friday are opportunities to take advantage of low prices. You should not go out of your way to buy something just because it is Cyber Monday or Black Friday. If you do that, then you are actually wasting money. You should only buy products on Cyber Monday and Black Friday if you were already planning to by that product, then you will save money.

Sports Drink Promotion

Three ways I would promote my drink would be through advertising, sales promotion, and personal selling. I would advertise by purchasing a spot in the Amherst paper and by purchasing a banner to hang at the Amherst football games. I would promote the product by making a commercial with a well known Amherst professor and airing it through  Amherst College. I would personally sell the drink by dressing up as the Lord Jeffery Amherst mascot and selling drinks to students.

I would also use various types of print advertising to promote my drink such as newspapers, magazines, and posters. I would advertise my drink in The Amherst Student, the Amherst college newspaper. I would also advertise my drink in Amherst, the official Amherst college magazine. Lastly I would hang posters in the Valentine dining hall and in restaurant around Amherst college. In addition to hanging posters, I would give coupons to the Valentine dining hall and the local Amherst restaurants to hand out to every costumer.

I priced my drink at $1.25 for 12oz and $3.00 for 1 gallon. I priced it this way because of my own experience. I am very good with money and usually when I am looking for a drink to buy, I will not pay over $1.85. I understand that my drink would cost more than usual to produce, but at the same it needs to be affordable. I thought that $1.25 was a good price for that reason. Having a price of $1.25 would benefit my drink because there are no drinks like mine that offer many benefits for your energy and performance at a price that is not expensive.

Sports Drink Project

Lords Chalice, Amherst College, "drink like royalty"

While working on this project, I enjoyed being able to research and use a college of your choice. Also, I enjoyed being creative and drawing our water bottle designs. Lastly, I enjoyed being hands on and working with actual water bottles to make a prototype.
From working on this project I learned that you need a bottle design that is attractive to the eye of the consumer. Also, that you need a label that is easy to read, and clearly shows what is in your drink.
One thing that I didn't like about this project is that we didn't get a lot of time to make the bottle prototype.

Ankle Surgery Sidelines Athlete for The Rest of The Season

Yes it's true. Another player has fallen victim to a vicious injury. Calm down, your fantasy points are safe. It's not a star NFL player, sadly it's me. It was the first competition of the season. So far in the scrimmage against Central Catholic I had ran the ball twice. My first run was twenty yards, and my second run was fifteen yards which resulted in a touchdown. I was even able to stiff arm one kid and shred a tackle. On my third run I ran for about 10 yards. I was still standing but I had two kids on me already. I was about to go down when another kid comes from behind and hits me in the legs. That didn't bother me, but when we were laying on the ground he continued to put a lot of pressure on my leg. The play was over and kids started to stand up, but this one kid kept going. I was laying on my side with my left leg over my right, and the kid was still on me. My left leg had no where to go but down, and eventually I heard a pop and a snap. I stood up and my ankle wobbled like jello. I tried walking to the sideline, then ended up hopping over. After three x-rays, three doctors visits, and one MRI I found out I had a minor fracture and a torn ligament. I went in for surgery the next day. I couldn't eat for the whole day and I waited in the hospital for 3 hours. Eventually I was In a hospital bed being prepared for surgery. I got an IV and was brought into the operating room. They were going to put me to sleep and twist my ankle to see if any ligaments popped. If that happened, then they were going to put a metal plate and two cords around my fibula and tibula. The doctor said that he was giving me the anesthesia. The next thing I remember, I wake up in the recovery room and my dad says I got the surgery. Now all I can do for the rest of the season is wear the jersey and do my part as water boy. After that, I have physical therapy into January.
